The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World is a very inspiring bestseller by Melinda Gates. Melinda Gates has done many amazing, unique things in her life. Mainly, she's been fighting and working for change around the world. She is working hard to support families, women, and children in poverty mostly in Asia and Africa. She's part of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation working to make the world a better place. In this autobiography, she highlights some of the women she's seen around the world and how empowering them makes the world a better place. Learning how these women live by visiting them, talking to them, and even living a week in their homes with them, Melinda does all she can to understand what they are going through and how to help and empower them the most. In this autobiography, Melinda talks about child marriages, the need for contraceptives in lower-income countries, and mothers that need safer environments to give birth to and raise children in. She gets personal, talking about her own experiences with her husband and children, and she recounts the extraordinary stories of women around the world that have shared their own story with Melinda. The main point of this book is just that empowering women makes the world a better place for everyone. There's lots of data and research in this book too, to back this all up. Reading this book, I don't think anyone could object to that message. It's well written and well explained. I recommend everyone to read this book.
