Ms. Bixby's Last Day by John David Anderson is an amazing book I recently read! Make sure to check it out!
Summary: Three kids, Topher, Brand, and Steve, skip school and go on a quest shortly after they learn that their teacher, Ms. Bixby, has cancer and won't be able to finish the school year with them. Along the way they meet a man named Eduardo who owns a bakery, a strange man named Alexander, and a shark in a toilet. Through the three very different stories they tell, we begin to understand what Ms. Bixby means to each of them—and what the three of them mean to each other.
Other books by author: John David Anderson has written some other books including Posted (which I have read and enjoyed), Sidekicked, and The Dungeoneers.
